Superior Mirage (Reply to Shawn Huffard)

Yes! What Shawn Huffard cptured was a superior mirage over Chicago. however, the atmospheris needed to be different over Chicago than the source location. note the difference in MIRAGE and ACTUAL buildings. Also note the inversion of the mirage (TYPICAL). When you see a non-inverted image at a distance it is not a superior mirage. When and if I can ever do wone of these long distance proofs – I will get atmmospheric conditions at BOTH the source and target logations at the same time – – 2 observers or validated Radiosounde/weather office observation at target location.
