I have already thought a lot about the analemma.

It is logical that the sun speeds up and slows down due to the different diameters of the circles of latitude in order to complete one revolution in 24 hours.

But the sun does not change speed linearly.

If the sun would do that linearly, we should see the analemma as a straight line in the sky.

But we can see this elegant loop.

When the sun changes its speed, it does not do so linearly.
