The Earth is WAY TOO BIG in NASA Model NASA Fail – the mathematics shows it without a doubt. When using NASA’s own explanation for why the umbra (total eclipse shadow) of the sun is only 70 miles in diameter, we ca apply the same mathematics to figure out what the Earth’s shadow on the moon would be. There is no difference – the distances are the same, the same “huge” sun is used and so on. The only difference is that the “blocking object” for a lunar eclipse is the earth instead of the moon for a solar eclipse. The shadow cast onto the earth (umbra) is only 70 miles wide. We are told that the shadow is much smaller than the moon because the HUGE sun creats a smaller shadow. Okay, using their logic, the moon’s shadow on the earth is 3.42% of the size of the moon. So, a 2150 mile diameter moon equates to a 70 mile shadow on the earth. All we have to do is substitute the earth’s size for the moon in order to know what size umbra shadow the earth would create on the moon. As it turns out, it is less than the size of the sea of Crisis or roughly 250 miles in diameter. So, is this what we witness during a lunar eclipse? – HARDLY! NASA is once again BUSTED on their fake model.
