This year it is obvious that the NFL is scripting more games to be super close nail biters that come down to that last play. They are also doing a good job of keeping most of the teams around .500 to make it appear that everyone is still in the playoff hunt. This season the NFL is clearly focused on keeping fans watching longer not only during games but also keeping them hooked for the duration of the season.
