Chris Monk takes Nathan Oakley and Anthony Riley through the differences between orthographic (curve calculator) vs. perspective (real life) using a photo I captured with my drone of three mountain peaks over 100 miles away.
THIS IS A KEY CONCEPT THAT MUST BE GRASPED for all researchers (ballers and flatties, alike) by understanding that objects appear to get smaller the further away you are, and this basic concept is NOT being taken into account when a curve calculator is giving you its “hidden height.” (e.g. metabunk.org)
And it most certainly should be!
Time to re-calc all your curvature observations and reduce the object you were attempting to view by its angular size FIRST, then apply the supposed drop from the ball earth to make your assessment.
You’ll find we can SEE EVEN FARTHER THAN WE SHOULD taking into account the reality of perspective.
